The Porto Carras golf resort is located at Neos Marmaras in Halkidiki. Architects Bill Robinson and Geoff Cornish designed it. Originally a 9-hole golf course, the resort was established towards the end of the 20th century and was once a recreational destination for many visitors all around Europe. The resort is home to some tastefully furnished hotels, captivating vineyards, a stretch of olive groves and a marina. The golf course has since been dubbed ‘Olive Grove’ and went through some renovation which converted it an 18-hole landscape. The golf course features three lakes and an irrigation system that helps to supply water to the paspalum greenery.

The course measures about 6,340 yards and five sets of tees at each hole. From the golf course, you can have spectacular views of the Mediterranean waters.

The sporting area which was launched in 2010 is an 18-hole layout that is the first of its kind in the country. The golf course is built close to tall dunes which are located close to the sea. The ambiance of the entire course gives a typical Greek vibe. The lush scenery is filled with citrus groves and olive trees. The views of the waterfront from the golf course are simply enchanting.
